A Glorious Finale in Wuxi: The Grand Conclusion of the Asian DanceSport Festival 2025

After four unforgettable days of passion, precision and performance, the 2025 Asian DanceSport Festival came to a spectacular close at the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Centre. With over 2,000 athletes and 50 countries and regions represented, and thousands of spectators filling the stands across the week, the Festival once again raised the bar for DanceSport excellence in Asia and beyond.
What began as an ambitious initiative has grown year after year into a cornerstone event in the WDSF calendar—and the 2025 edition confirmed once again: Wuxi delivers.
Celebrating Talent from Juveniles to Under 21
The final day opened with a showcase of promising talent across categories ranging from Juvenile Standard to Under 21 Latin, offering vibrant glimpses of the next generation of DanceSport stars.

Professionals shinning on the dancefloor – PD Latin Adult
The Open PD Latin Adult final brought elegance and fire to the floor in equal measure. In a strong six-couple showdown, Li Mingxuan & Zhou Wanting (CHN) delivered a confident performance that secured them the top spot once again.
This marks their second PD Latin victory in the current season, following their triumph at the Super Grand Prix in Sitges (December 2024) and a finalist appearance in Stuttgart. Their consistency is impressive, and their dominance in Wuxi further establishes them as strong contenders on the global professional stage.

GrandSlam Standard – A Historic First for Romania
The pinnacle of the day—and of the entire Festival—was the WDSF GrandSlam Standard Adult, featuring the world’s finest couples in a breathtaking final that will be remembered for years to come.
In front of a packed house and an audience following live on Olympic Channel, the atmosphere was electric from the first step to the final bow. The intensity, class, and connection displayed by the six finalists was DanceSport at its finest.

Looking Ahead: The World Games in Chengdu
Next up for the top names in DanceSport is The World Games in Chengdu this August, where Rares & Andreea will once again face the world’s best—including Alexey & Anastasia, last year GrandSlam winners. Meanwhile, Charles-Guillaume Schmitt & Elena Salikhova, champions of the GrandSlam Latin last year, will return to the floor to challenge stars Marius Balan & Khrystyna Moshenska, who also moved to Professional in a Latin showdown the whole world will be watching.
2025 is shaping up to be a defining year for DanceSport.
